Lorenda Sue Wampler, 49, and Jonie Faye Johnson-Milan, 46, killed in car accident after distracted driver runs into a guardrail on I-465 on-ramp at Washington St. in Indianapolis

At about 6:59 a.m. Saturday morning, Indiana State Police and Indianapolis Fire Department were called to the scene of a crash. Police saw a vehicle on the southbound on-ramp of I-465 and West Washington Street when they arrived. Authorities state the driver of the car appeared to be distracted and driving on the shoulder of Washington St., when the car hit the guard rail. Police state the car immediately started spinning when it entered the on-ramp of I-465 south.
