Ralph W. Erwin was traveling on Illinois 142 in his pickup truck when Joshua D. Jones crossed the centerline and hit him head on. Erwin was pronounced dead at the scene, and Jones was transported to a local medical center for his injuries. Authorities are still investigating this crash.
