A motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries following a collision with a semi truck in New Albany, Indiana Sunday night. The accident occured on Interstate 64 on October 19, 2014 near the New Albany exit when the motorcyclist merged onto eastbound I-64 and crossed two lanes, hitting the trailer from the side. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and suffers severe head and torso injuries. Police believe that alcohol and a high speed contributed to the crash, though test results are pending. The driver of the semi truck was not hurt.
