A man was struck and killed on the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway in Pasadena at Windsor Avenue early Wednesday, authorities said. The incident is being investigated as a possible suicide by the Pasadena Police Department.
The California Highway Patrol received a call at approximately 3 a.m. informing them of a pedestrian down on the freeway.
Minutes before, police were called about a disturbance at a Jack in the Box near the 210. The body found on the freeway matches the description of the person involved in that incident, CHP said.
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metro Gold Line train in South Pasadena Saturday afternoon, officials said.
The pedestrian, 40- to 50-year-old man, was struck at the Monterey Road and Pasadena Avenue crosswalk in South Pasadena just after 4 p.m., said a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Sgt. of the Transit Services Bureau.
Officials do not believe the death was a suicide, and the man may have gotten stuck inside the closed arms area of the crossing.
