27-year-old woman and 30-year-old man seriously injured after a vehicle rear-ends a tractor trailer at the intersection of Mound Road and 14 Mile Road in Sterling Heights, Michigan

A 30-year-old Detroit man and a 26-year-old Warren woman were seriously injured around 2 a.m. after their car rear-ended a semi-truck stopped at a red light on southbound Mound Road. The crash remains under investigation. Police say they’re not yet sure if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
