Mike Shawa, 71, suffered medical episode prior to fatal SUV crash into tractor trailer on Rainbow Boulevard in Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas police believe that prior to crashing into the back of a semi, Mike Shawa of Las Vegas suffered a medical episode that caused him to lose control of his SUV. On Tuesday morning, Shawa was southbound on Rainbow Boulevard in a GMC Sierra when he sideswiped a Toyota Prius near Flamingo Road. Shawa then ran into the back of a Sterling-Acterra semi, which was towing a trailer. He was transported to Spring Valley Hospital, where he died.
