Stanley Hammonds, 80, was driving a dump truck full of rock when his vehicle was struck by a train near Rogers Gap Road. Authorities are unsure if Hammonds did not see the train or if the truck stalled on the tracks. The truck was smashed into several pieces, and Hammondds died at the scene. No charges have been filed against the operator of the train.
