Jeffrey Michel, 27, killed in hit-and-run pedestrian collision on Route 37 in Toms River, New Jersey

Trenton-NJJeffrey Michel, 27, of Colts Neck, was found on Route 37 in Toms River shortly after 8 p.m. on Friday, the victim of an apparent hit-and-run crash. Michel was found by a passing motorist on Route 37 just west of Fischer Boulevard at 8:20 p.m. He was pronounced deceased at the crash site. He is believed to have been hit by a westbound car that may have been blue in cover.
