The victim was driving a small sedan southbound in the northbound lanes of US-127, when she struck a cargo van traveling north on the highway. The driver of the van isustained serious injuries in the accident and was taken to Sparrow Hospital. A 22-year-old woman from Weslaco, TX was a passenger in the sedan also was seriously injured, and was transported to Sparrow Hospital.
