Mobile, AL-Pensacola, FLJust after midnight Thursday, Mobile Police responded to Washington Avenue at Tennessee Street for a report of a car accident. A 2003 BMW driven by Stephanie Lucas Cain of Mobile was traveling north on Washington Avenue at a high rate of speed she lost control and collided with a building, ending up against a utility pole. Cain was transported to USA Medical Center, where she later died. A 21-year-old female passenger sustained minor injuries.
