A 25-year-old man has been arrested after causing a collision that injured five people in Anchorage on Tuesday evening. Matthew Duwayne Weedman is charged with five counts of felony assault and a misdemeanor charge of leaving a crash site. Weedman ran a red light while traveling south on C Street, and T-boned a northbound sport utility vehicle turning left onto Dimond Boulevard. Two adults and three children in the SUV were injured. Police say Weedman fled from the crash site. He was arrested early Wednesday as he tried to get medical treatment.
