Jasim Alkuraishi, 76, of Northridge, killed, 25 year old Pico Rivera man and his passenger, a 15 year old Pico Rivera boy, and 23 year old Northridge woman injured in a three vehicle accident on the 10 Freeway, just west of Rosemead Boulevard, in Rosemead, CA. A stalled Honda in the fast lane, driven by the 25 year old man, was hit from behind by Alkuraishi's Nissan. A second Nissan then struck Alkuraishi's vehicle.
Christian Martinez, 20, of Moreno Valley, the passenger of a Honda Civic that crashed into a center median on 60 near Nason St in Moreno Valley, CA, was standing in the carpool lane when struck. The vehicle was blocking lanes and Martinez stepped out of the car. A Volkswagen Jetta couldn’t avoid the Civic and struck its left side and Martinez, who was declared dead at the scene. Two passengers in the Jetta were taken to Riverside Community Hospital.
