Cindy Lou Gutierrez, 51, dead after rollover accident on Burnt Store Road in Cape Coral, Florida

Cindy Lou Gutierrez was driving on Burnt Store Road just be fore 3 a.m. when her car traveled off the road and rolled over several times. Gutierrez, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Brendan Younk, 20, and Christian Rudolf Salinger, 61, seriously injured when two cars collide on Cape Coral Parkway West and S.W. 25 Place in Cape Coral, Florida

At around 7:30 a.m., one vehicle ran a stop sign and collided into a second vehicle. Both drivers sustained serious injuries. The driver of one of the vehicles, 20-year-old Brendan Younk, sustained life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized in critical condition. Investigators believe he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. More information will be posted as it is released.

David Shultz III, 20, dies in single-vehicle car crash on Del Prado Blvd. in Cape Coral, Florida

A single-vehicle crash at around 1 a.m. has resulted in the death of David Shultz III, 20. Shultz was driving southbound on Del Prado Boulevard when the truck left the roadway, struck a concrete pillar in a gas station parking lot, and rolled over. Schultz was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The next of kin for David V. Schultz III have been notified. It is not known at this time if alcohol or drug use was involved in the crash. 

Austin Dukette, 15, killed in Bicycle accident with the Lee County patrol car of Douglas E. Hood, on Kismet Parkway and Northwest Seventh Avenue in Cape Coral, FL

 Lee County deputy was found at fault in an accident that killed Austin Dukette, 15.  Deputy Douglas E. Hood was cited for careless driving following a two-month investigation.  Austin was riding his bike to school on August 22nd and Hood hit the back tire of the boy's bike, from behind, with his patrol car on Kismet Parkway and Northwest Seventh Avenue, in Cape Coral, FL.
