A crash occurred Sunday afternoon at Rock Chapel Road and Rockbridge when a 14-year-old driver lost control of his Chrysler Sebring, crossed the median, and was hit by a Honda Civic. The Chrysler driver was brought to Egelston Children’s Hospital in serious condition, and his 14-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the Honda and a third car were brought to Grady Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Witnesses said the Chrysler was speeding when the it lost control, and neither of the teens was wearing a seat belt.
