An 8-year-old girl was killed in an auto accident early Friday morning in northwest Atlanta.
The child was taken to an area hospital where she died, an Atlanta Police spokeswoman stated.
The woman driving the vehicle also was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for her injuries, police said.
Police were called to the intersection of Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway and Fulton Industrial Boulevard around 7:15 a.m., for the accident that involved a white truck.
