Saturday, October 18, 2014A 91 year old man injured in car accident on southbound Interstate 57 at milepost 49 in Williamson County, IL, when he turned to use the crossover from the left shoulder, veering into the left lane, causing a Kentworth semi driven by a 50 year old man to rear end his car. The 91 year old driver was charged with disobeying a traffic control device and inproper lane usage.

Chicago, ILOne person was killed in a crash Wednesday afternoon on Interstate-55 near south suburban Romeoville, state police said.
A box truck crashed into the back of a semi before 3 p.m. on northbound I-55 near the Weber Road exit, police said.
Video of the scene showed the front of the box truck was barely recognizable.
One northbound lane of the interstate was reopend by 5 p.m. after being shut down for a couple of hours, but traffic remained snarled traffic in both directions as the crash investigation continued.
