A 64-year-old man was driving a Corvette and entering westbound I-94 when he lost control, left the freeway, and smashed into a tree. He suffered a serious head injury and was taken to the hospital by helicopter, though there is no information on his current condition. A 12-year-old boy that was also in the car was uninjured.

Elizabeth Slabaugh, 84, and her 14-year-old granddaughter were travelling northbound on M-51 at Pennsylvania Road when a car driven by Sally Lundy, 64, and her 3-year-old grandaughter pulled out in front of her, resulting in a head-on collision. Slabaugh had to be extrivated from her vehicle. She was sent to South Bend Memorial Hospital. All other parties were treated and released at the site of the accident.
