A van containing seven members of a Brooklyn Bethesda French Seventh-day Adventist Church was attempting to turn onto Route 209 from Nevele Drive, but apparently did not properly stop at the intersection's stop sign, and was struck on the right side by a semi-truck as it entered the roadway. Three passengers in the van, identified as Miguel St Louis, 17, Ricadeau Anantua, 33, and Garry Edouard, 48, were killed in the collision.
