Portland, ORDavid Kyte was driving northbound on Highway 101 between Tillamook and Lincoln City when his vehicle struck a guardrail and rolled over. He died at the scene. Heavy rain was falling at the time of the accident, and Kyte was not wearing a seat belt.

Portland, ORA Portland man died when a pickup truck left Highway 103 rolled over early Tuesday morning and struck a tree. The initial investigation posits that icy conditions on the Coast Range highway led to the 6 a.m. accident. David Weiss, 68, of Forest Grove was driving the 2002 Ford F-250 pickup when he lost control on a curve and exited the roadway near milepost 6. He and an unidentified passenger were not hurt. Edward Vaughn, 59, who was in the right rear seat, was not wearing a seat belt and was killed.
