Tuesday, October 14, 201438-year-old Wendell R. Parks, a semi truck driver of Nampa, Idaho, avoided injury after his truck crashed on Interstate 82, three miles east of Union Gap, Washington. The freightliner truck was towing a trailer when it went off the road and rolled. This incident occured around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday. The driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident and was not intoxicated. Parks is expected to get a ticket for driving with his wheels off the roadway.

Seattle-Tacoma, WAA 22-year-old Bremerton man was killed late Sunday in an Interstate 5 collision near Mountlake Terrace involving a tanker truck filled with liquid nitrogen. A Honda Accord passed the tanker truck in the HOV lane, swerved to the left, hit the barrier, then swerved back to the right and hit the truck. The car was crushed by the truck, which was carrying about 7,000 pounds of liquid nitrogen. Washington State Patrol reported it took several hours to unload the nitrogen from the truck. All northbound lanes of Interstate 5 were closed until about 7:45 a.m.
