Passenger Earlie Lee Kepley Jr., has died due to an incident that occured just after 2 a.m. Saturday near Unity Street and Colonial Club Drive when driver Timothy Randall Hulin Jr. failed to stop for law enforcement and crashed into a pond. Hulin faces multiple charges including DWI, felony fleeing law enforcement and driving while license revoked. More charges are pending, and no other information has yet been released.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol said Steve Allen Williams of Wade was driving a tractor trailer east on I-40 at about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday when the truck traveled into the median, struck a guard wire, and crossed into the westbound lane at mile marker 329. The tractor trailer jackknifed, departed the left side of the highway, and overturned in a ditch full of water. Williams was strapped into his seat belt with his head submerged under water, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Belews Creek woman is dead after her car crashed into a pond in Guilford County early Friday morning. The North Carolina Highway Patrol said 20-year-old Chelsey Herrington was driving on Warner Road just after 1:20 a.m. when her car went into a pond. Troopers aren't exactly sure why she drove into the pond, but they believe it was an accident. Emergency workers responded to the scene and pulled the car out of the pond. Herrington was transported to the hospital, where she died. Troopers said she was the only one in the car.
