Marathon County Sheriff's officials say a car struck a deer on Highway 97 in the Town of Cleveland early Friday. The deer was then thrown into the windshield of a van driven by 42-year-old Michael Rogan of Stratford, and Rogan died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. At the time of the accident, Rogan was driving his wife, Niki, to the hospital for the birth of their 8th child. Niki and their seven children suffered minor injuries in the crash and were also brought to St. Joseph's, where Niki gave birth to a baby boy hours later.
