Luanne Buikema, 47, was driving west on Byron Road in Zeeland Township, Michigan on Monday, December 8, 2014 when she started falling asleep at the wheel, resulting in her veering off the road and into a ditch. Jarred awake, she over-corrected and drove to the other side, rolling her SUV. Buikema was pinned inside her vehicle and had to be extricated from the vehicle by local firefighters.
