San Diego, CAA 62-year-old female pedestrian in a Rancho Bernardo crosswalk was hit by a vehicle Wednesday, and she has died of her injuries. Mary Elliott, 62, was crossing Rancho Bernardo Road near Acena Drive at 5:20 p.m. when she was struck by a Toyota sedan driven by a 94-year-old man. Elliott suffered a critical head injury and was taken to a hospital where she underwent emergency surgery but died Saturday night. The name of the elderly driver has not been released.

San Diego, CAMelissa Ratcliff was killed in an accident with a vehicle on the 7700 block of Girard Avenue. She was the vice president of marketing for the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. She had just gotten out of her vehicle when she was struck and pinned by another car at approximately noon on Tuesday.
