A fiery crash killed one person Saturday morning, however Robertsdale, Alabama police say bystanders gave the deceased his best chance of living by cutting him out of a burning vehicle. The accident occured at approximately 11 a.m. on Baldwin Beach Express northbound just south of Highway 90. Police say two vehicles, an Audi and a late model Ford Explorer, were involved in a rear-end collision. The Ford Explorer caught fire during the crash and the driver of the Audi, identified as Edmond Williams, 44,  was uninjured.

A man was driving near Monroe Road on Interstate 59 when he drove off the road, and the car rolled over and caught fire. Bystanders were able to help the man escape before the vehicle caught fire, saving his life. Parts of the forest the car crashed into caught fire when the car did, but firefighters were able to contain it. The man's name has not been released.

Tyler Farley was driving his 1997 Cadillac at a high rate of speed on M-21 when he lost control of the vehicle and it left the roadway. The car stopped in a field, and then caught fire with Farley inside. Witnesses pulled Farley out of the burning car, but he was still critically injured. The crash remains under investigation.
