Saturday, January 17, 2015Authorities said the crash occured around 7 p.m. on Arial Street in Pickens County. The moped was driving east when it ran off the road and struck the curb. The driver, identified as Gregory Alan Duncan, 47, was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene. Check for updates on this story as they emerge.

Roanoke-Lynchburg, VAAn accident claimed the life of a 51-year-old woman at approximately 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the Hebron section of Carroll County.
Mary Ellen Keller was driving her moped on Hebron Road when she ran off the right side of the road and crashed into a concrete wall about .8 of a mile north of Creekview Drive. The collision ejected Keller from the moped, killing her.
According to a Trooper who investigated the accident, there was no evidence of drugs or alcohol at the scene.
