Three people were killed around 9 am Saturday morning on US 30, near the village of Minerva. after a car and school bus crashed during freezing weather near Minerva. 16-year-old Savannah Russell lost control of her vehicle on the icy road and struck a school bus. Russell was pronounced dead at the crash scene. Storm Angione, 19 of Paris, Ohio and A'llyia Hancock, 18 of Minerva were in the vehicle with Russell. Angione and Hancock were also pronounced dead at the site. The school bus driver suffered minor injuries, but luckily no students on the bus were injured.

A female driver died after her vehicle collided with a Mentor school bus carrying 11 high school students on Thursday. No one on the bus was injured. The car of Jennifer T. Cribbs, 62, and the bus crashed at 6:38 a.m. at Johnny Cake Ridge and Garfield roads. It has not yet been determined which driver was at fault. Cribbs, of Mentor, was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, where she died. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing. Another Cleveland school bus was involved in a minor accident Friday morning, the second accident involving a bus in two days. Cleveland Police dispatchers said a Cleveland Metropolitan City School District bus was carrying one child near West 69th Street and Dennison Avenue at 8:43 a.m. when a driver rear-ended the bus. Paramedics responded to the scene, but there were no reported injuries, dispatchers said.

A school bus has been involved in an accident in Franklin Township Thursday afternoon. Dispatchers said the accident happened in the 7400 block of Franklin-Madison Road around 4 p.m. Ohio State Patrol Troopers were at the scene and one car hit another and that car rear-ended the school bus. A district official said the school bus belongs to the Madison Local School District. The Madison Local Schools, said there were six students on the bus at the time of the accident. The accident happened toward the end of the route and another bus was called to the scene.

Oberlin Police and fire responded to an accident involving two school buses at approximately 12:04 p.m. Thursday. Students from Lorain County JVS were being transported back to school from a field trip when the accident occurred. 69 people were on the bus, mostly students. One school bus rear-ended the other bus, causing the accident. The accident happened in front of the Oberlin fire station, making it easy for fire crews to respond.
