Thursday, March 12, 2015Manuel Hernandez was driving a semi-truck eastbound on Interstate 80 when he reached for an object on the floorboard just as another truck was entering the interstate from Illinois 78. Hernandez was not able to avoid hitting the semi in front of him. There were no injuries, but both vehicles suffered significant damage.

Monday, October 13, 2014Mark A. Billings, 54, died at Hammond-Henry Hospital following an accident in which his truck, hauling a tanker trailer, went off I-80 and overturned. A portion of the eastbound lanes were closed. The contents of trailer were transferred to another tanker.
