A tragic accident happened in Flour Bluff, Corpus Christi on Friday night when a woman was run over by her own suv. Friends have identified the woman as Melody Hubbard.  Police say the 30-year-old victim was parked between NAS and Military Drive. She was out looking for her lost dog, when she got out of her vehicle and put it in park, but it appears she still had her vehicle in reverse because she was then run over and trapped by her SUV. Hubbard was transported to the hospital but did not survive her injuries.

Jose Reyes was killed when he drove his truck into the batting cages at a Corpus Christi high school. Fortunately no one was near the batting cages when the crash occured, and no one else was hurt during the incident. Police are investigating.

An accident just outside of Mathis has claimed the life of one person. The accident happened between Edroy and Mathis on I-37. According to state troopers, the accident happened around 12:30 Sunday afternoon. The victim has been identified as 65 year old Apolinar Gracida from Raymondville. Troopers say the driver was headed north on I-37 when he rolled his vehicle three times. Police believe a medical problem may have caused the driver to lose control.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Air and Marine helicopter has crashed in South Texas injuring three aboard. The crash occurred Friday morning near Falfurrias. Brooks County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Benny Martinez said three agents aboard the helicopter were flown to a McAllen hospital for treatment of what were not believed to be life-threatening injuries. The white helicopter came to rest tilted nearly on its side with twisted rotors in a small clearing surrounded by low trees.
