At about 11:30 a.m. a Chevrolet Trailblazer with Nebraska license plates rolled several times on Interstate 25, near mile marker 296. Investigators believe the vehicle hit the median and the driver overcorrected, causing it to roll. A child was thrown from the vehicle by the force of the crash, and died at the scene. The driver and another passenger were taken to Cheyenne Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. The girl and the driver were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. The driver was identified as 32-year-old Lisa Guel.

An accident Friday night around 8:00 on I-25 south of Belen at mile marker 178 closed both north and southbound lanes while New Mexico State Police investigated. Reports show that a vehicle driven by Yolanda Filerio of Bloomfield was driving southbound on I-25 when she lost control, and the vehicle rolled several times, ejecting Filerio. She was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A rollover crash occured on Interstate 25 at around 9:25 p.m. that took the lives of two people, and injured two others. Devin Gomez was driving an SUV with three passengers inside when for unknown reasons he lost control of the vehicle, it entered the median, and rolled over twice. Gomez sustained fatal injuries. Passengers Mercedes Parker, 14, and Aliana Guillory, 15, were not wearing seat belts and was thrown from the vehicle when it rolled. Parker died at the scene, and Guillory sustained serious injuries.

John Quillen was driving his car northbound on Interstate 25 when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle and crossed the median. Nicholas Summer was driving a semi-truck southbound and collided with the car. Quillen was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and suffered life threatening injuries. His was transported by ambulance to a local medical center. Summer was wearing a seat belt and treated for minor injuries. Troopers believe high speed and inadequate tires are factors in this crash.

An accident between an SUV and a semi truck on Interstate 25 at the University Boulevard off ramp has possibly injured five people Friday morning. The accident occured around 6:15 a.m. on October 24 near the University Boulevard off ramp, south of downtown Denver, Colorado. Police reported that there were "serious injuries".

Troopers state the woman was stopped Friday evening on Interstate 25 near Trinidad for suspected drunk driving and then drove off. The state patrol says troopers called off the chase because they deemed it too dangerous. A short time later the Colorado State Patrol was notified that the fleeing vehicle had crashed while exiting the highway. The woman received minor injuries and was treated at a hospital. Charges against the woman have not been released.

Three people were injured seriously Saturday when a pickup truck crashed into the rear of a vehicle on Interstate 25 north of Fort Collins. Investigators suspect that the driver of the truck was under the influence of drugs. The severe impact of the crash resulted in a chain reaction and six vehicles were involved. The pickup truck was driving south at about 12:50 p.m. when the driver failed to slow for backed up traffic. The crash occured on a stretch of highway where workers were doing guardrail repair.

A 23-year-old man was struck by two cars while walking across Interstate 25 near the South Academy exit, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The man crossed the southbound lanes of the highway and stepped in front of two vehicles, both of which hit him. It appears that the alcohol was a factor in the pedestrian's behavior.

An Albuquerque man was killed on Wednesday afternoon after his Ford Ranger had a tire blow-out and rolled over on Interstate 25 near the Santa Fe Downs race track. The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office identified the driver, and only occupant of the vehicle, as Javier De-Larosa, 48. The vehicle went out of control after the blow-out, rolled and became airborne and when it landed the roof collapsed killing the driver, the sheriff’s office said. De-Larosa was wearing a seat belt and neither speed or alcohol were a factor in the accident, authorities said.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Authorities have identified a man killed in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 25 in the Albuquerque area on Saturday as 19-year-old Johhny Garibay.

Garibay was traveling south on Interstate 25 at Rio Bravo when he swerved to miss a box that had fallen off a truck, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.

He lost control and hit the truck as it pulled onto the shoulder to retrieve the box.

Gariby suffered massive trauma and died at a hospital, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Alcohol is not a factor in the crash, authorities said.
