A Westwego woman has died from injuries she suffered Tuesday, when the motorcycle she was riding struck a concrete barrier on Clearview Parkway in Elmwood, the Louisiana State Police said Saturday. Renee Folse, 44, died Wednesday. The accident remains under investigation.
Folse was riding a 2000 Harley Davidson north on Clearview when she struck the concrete divider that separates the highway from the left turn lane at East Corporate Drive, Trooper 1st Class Melissa Matey said in a news release.
Folse, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle.
A Stigler woman was killed in an accident about 7 p.m. Tuesday in Haskell County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.
Ginett Snow, 34, died from massive head injuries suffered in the accident about a mile west of Stigler.
Snow was a passenger in a 2012 Ford Mustang driven by Travis Russell, 24, who was not injured, the patrol reports.
No details of the accident were released pending an investigation. Snow was taken to a Stigler hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police have identified a man who was fatally struck by a car on a dark and busy Pleasant View road over the weekend.
Pleasant View Police stated Eric James Johannes, 46, of Ogden, died on Sunday of injuries he sustained Saturday night when he was hit by a car as he attempted to cross 2700 North near 600 West.
"This all is still under investigation, but our witness statements and evidence are pointing toward no charges being filed against the driver at this time," police said.
Escondido police arrested a man suspected of crashing a stolen van into another car, then running away Tuesday afternoon.
Richard Berumen, 38, of Escondido, was taken into custody on suspicion of felony hit-and-run causing injury and vehicle theft, police said.
A man called police shortly after 1 p.m. and said he’d just seen his stolen Toyota Sienna van being driven at Valley Parkway and Ash Street, police said. The man recognized it from its broken headlight even though it had the wrong license plate, Lanigan said.
Police have identified the 22-year-old woman who died in a car crash in Shrewsbury.
Police tell the Telegram & Gazette that Lindsey Demoranville, of Grafton, was pronounced dead at the UMass Memorial Medical Center shortly after the car she was driving collided with another vehicle driven by a Worcester woman. The accident happened Wednesday night on Route 140, shutting the roadway down for several hours.
The other driver was treated for minor injuries after the crash, which remains under investigation.
Three people were transported to a hospital on Tuesday night after a car struck a semi-truck’s gas tank, causing both vehicles to catch fire.
A Papa John’s semi-truck was attempting to make a wide right turn off the Outer Loop near Noltemeyer Wynd about 7 p.m. when a car tried to pass on the right. The car struck the truck’s gas tank and caused both vehicles to ignite, a Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman said.
The car’s three occupants escaped and were transported to University of Louisville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Smiley said.
A Greensboro police officer was taken to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle while investigating another crash Tuesday night.

The collision happened around 7:05 p.m. in the 3200 block of South Elm-Eugene Street. The female officer suffered non life-threatening injuries and has been released from the hospital.
The officer was investigating a collision when another vehicle going north on South Elm-Eugene Street lost control and hit the officer, Greensboro police said.
The crash is still under investigation. No charges have been filed against the driver.
A 36-year-old man died in a crash on State Street in Hamden Tuesday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the crash at 2260 State Street, near Ridge Road, around 8:45 a.m. The crash closed State Street for more than an hour.
According to police, Joseph Manacchio, of Hamden, was killed when his vehicle crossed the center line and hit another vehicle driving in the opposite direction on State Street.
A two-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer on southbound Interstate 95 caused traffic delays in Martin County on Tuesday morning.
The wreck occurred at mile marker 93.5 near Hobe Sound around 7:50 a.m.
