Boston police have located the car believed to have been involved in a hit-and-run crash in the Back Bay that critically injured a pedestrian and snarled traffic during the morning commute today, authorities said. The victim, who was an adult male, was transported to Boston Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said in a statement. Officers responded to the MBTA Massachusetts Avenue station at 6:02 a.m. to investigate reports of a person struck by a car, according to Officer Rachel McGuire, a police spokeswoman.

A man was struck and killed Tuesday night in a hit-and-run crash on Dorchester Avenue, according to Boston Police. The accident occurred at around 8:04 p.m. at 1485 Dorchester Ave., a Boston police spokeswoman said. The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The man’s name and age were not immediately available. Police are looking for the driver and the car, which was described as either a Nissan Maxima or Toyota Camry, police said.
