Trenton-NJManuel Dejesus Morales-Perez was attempting to cross Route 22, a three-lane highway, on his bicycle when he was hit by a SUV driven by Elinor J. Brooks, 53. Morales-Perez sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital trauma unit where he later died. This accident is still under investigation. Trenton-NJAt around 2:45 a.m., Sara I. Lee, 50, of Hackettstown, was driving a 2012 Nissan Sentra the wrong way down Route 22 East near Mountain Avenue in Bridgewater when she crashed into a black BMW 328i driven by Karen A. Facciponti, 35, of Dunellen. Both Lee and Faccioponti were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerville. Facciponti was treated for minor injuries and released, and Lee was pronounced dead at 4:20 a.m.
