A pedestrian was injured Monday night after being hit by a car along East Livingston Avenue in southeast Columbus.

According to Columbus police, the crash occurred shortly after 10 p.m. near the intersection of East Livingston Avenue and Courtright Road.

The victim was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition, according to police.

East Livingston Avenue was closed in the area while accident investigators were investigating the crash.

A Struthers man was killed in a crash in Delaware County near Columbus, Ohio.

Authorities say 63-year-old Stefan Borbei was driving north along Interstate 71 on Sunday when he drove off the road and struck trees and a guardrail.

Troopers say Borbei was wearing his seatbelt and that alcohol is not a factor.

Borbei was pronounced dead at the scene.

One person was killed after a single-vehicle crash on the east side of Columbus on Tuesday.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office says an SUV lost control while travelling through the intersection of Stelzer and Johnstown roads around 7 a.m. The vehicle struck a metal pole.

The driver was transported to Grant Medical Center. No one else was in the vehicle.

The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Officials have not released the name of the person who was killed. They did say that they were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

According to Columbus police, crash occurred at about 9:40 p.m. near the intersection of Refugee and Noe Bixby roads.

According to police, 2-year-old JayByuante McGrew-Bell was hit when he ran into the path of a 2003 Jaguar.

Police say the child was transported to Nationwide Children's Hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the child the driver remained at the scene, according to officers.
