Sunday, January 12, 2014A Waurika woman died Monday and an Enid couple were injured after a wreck in Stephens County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Alma Lindesmith, 66, died at the scene of the wreck about 6:30 p.m. just south of Comanche on U.S. 81. She was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
Lindesmith was driving a sport utility vehicle south on U.S. 81. The vehicle struck a deer and ran off the road. When it returned to the pavement, it slammed into a northbound sport utility vehicle being driven by James Faubion, 59.
