Sunday, December 21, 2014Jamie Lynn Honaker was waiting at a bus stop on West Sample Road when a van jumped the curb and struck her. The driver, 56-year-old Mark Jusevic was drunk at the time of the accident and attempted to flee the scene, but his vehicle had a flat tire from damage done to it in the accident and he only made it two blocks. Honaker was declared dead at the scene. Jusevic is being held at a local jail on $102,000 bond.

Tuesday, December 9, 2014A motorcyclist was killed in a high-speed collision in Deerfield Beach on Tuesday at around 3:20 p.m. near North Dixie Highway and Northeast 51st Street. Victor Angelo De Souza, 21, was driving a motorcycle and collided with two cars. De Souza, who was with another motorcyclist, was traveling at high speed when his 1994 Honda hit a 2006 Scion then a 2005 Honda Odyssey. De Souza was transported to Broward Health North where he later died. There were no other injuries reported in the crash. The motorcyclist driving near De Souza fled the scene.
