Houston, TXThe accident occurred at 2:05 p.m. Thursday when a white Isuzu box truck and a flat-bed tractor-trailer truck collided on Highway 249 inbound between Beltway 8 and Gessner. The 21-year-old driver of the box truck failed to control his speed and rear-ended the tractor trailer. The box truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver remained at the scene. Houston, TXA woman is in the hospital after crashing her car in northwest Harris County.
According to Harris County sheriff’s deputies, the woman lost control of her vehicle car early Wednesday morning and hit a curb on the feeder road of Highway 249 near the Beltway.
Deputies found her car in a field.
She was rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital in serious condition.
Deputies said she will be tested for driving while intoxicated at the hospital.
