A 22-month-old girl was struck and killed at about 6:45 p.m. on the street in front of a home in the 8700 block of Varner Road near Creek Drive Tuesday. She apparently ran into the path of her grandfather's pickup truck as he was pulling into the driveway, and he did not see the toddler. She was struck and died at the scene. No charges are expeced. We'll update this post with any new details we receive.
