Only minor injuries were reported after a minivan and an Indianapolis Fire Department truck collided Tuesday morning.
The crash happened at West 24th Street and North Meridian Street around 9:15 a.m. According to fire officials, an IFD rescue squad had just finished a run, had its lights off, and was attempting to make a left hand turn to go north on Meridian Street. Two firefighters were on board the truck.
Shortly after 1 a.m. Friday, emergency crews were called to a crash at East 16th Street and North Delaware Street.
Firefighters say the driver, 22-year-old Justin Oliver, was trapped in his overturned Dodge Dakota. Once crews freed him from the wreckage, he was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in serious condition.
According to investigators Oliver was traveling north on Delaware Street and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle landed on its side just a few feet away from a building.
Three people were injured in a one-car accident overnight Saturday on the city's east side.
It happened around 1:15 a.m. near 38th Street and Emerson Avenue.
IMPD officials say a car with four occupants was driving west on 38th Street and for an unknown reason, lost control, struck a traffic light utility box and flipped onto a nearby gas station lot.
Indianapolis firefighters had to cut the top of the SUV off in order to pull one person out.
