Honolulu, HIA Maui woman is dead after she was hit by a vehicle in Lahaina on Monday afternoon.
Police say 50-year-old Mary Fletcher of Kahului was on her moped, when she was hit from behind by a vehicle on Honoapiilani highway.
She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
This is Maui county’s eighth traffic fatality this year.
