Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLA 21-year-old Lakeland woman died Sunday night in a near head-on collision on State Road 33. Kayla M. Bryant was a passenger in a 2001 Ford Focus that was traveling west when an eastbound 2003 Toyota minivan traveled through a curve and entered the westbound lane. The vehicles collided almost head-on in the west lane. The driver of the Focus, as well as 3-year-old Austin Guy of Lakeland, and the driver of the mini-van, 55-year-old Dakshesh Patel, were taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries. Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLThe driver of the car that hit the girl, Iam Peter Bhisitkul, 85, claims to have not seen the girl and stopped and stayed at the scene after he realized he had hit something. The victim was transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital but has made good improvements and may even be released tonight.

Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLA Polk County school bus accident sent 12 Crystal Lake Middle School students to the hospital Thursday morning with minor injuries.
It happened around 8:10 a.m. at the intersection of South Crystal Lake Drive and US 98 in Lakeland.
Alicia Delgado said it wasn't the collision that sent her running to the scene Thursday morning, but what she heard shortly after.
Authorities say a Subaru was two cars behind a school bus carrying 30 Crystal Lake Middle School students.
