Las Vegas, NVA motorcycle rider was in critical condition after crashing while racing another motorcycle near the Las Vegas Strip Monday morning.
The two motorcycles were racing on Tropicana Avenue just before 3 a.m. when one of them hit a vehicle near Paradise Road, Las Vegas police lieutenant Bruce Miyama said.
The rider was thrown from the bike and was in critical condition, though his injuries were not life-threatening. The driver of the vehicle hit by the motorcycle had no injuries.
The other motorcycle rider left the scene.

Las Vegas, NVTropicana Avenue was closed to traffic Friday morning so the Clark County Fire Department could clean up a chlorine spill following a crash between a taxicab and pool company truck.
According the Metro Police, the crash occurred near Tropicana Avenue and El Capitan Way around 8:13 a.m. The cab driver was transported to University Medical Center in unknown condition.
