Metro Police have reopened Spring Mountain Road near Decatur Boulevard following a crash that left a woman pedestrian dead Wednesday morning. The 45-year-old woman was struck and killed by a van shortly before 6 a.m. Police say the woman pedestrian was not in a crosswalk when she was hit. According to police, she was walking with a man who was pushing a shopping cart. He made it to the other side of the street and was yelling to the woman to get out of the road when she was struck. She was taken to University Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

The intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Windmill Lane has reopened to traffic after being closed for nearly seven hours because of a fatal crash that left two people dead. The crash occurred around 1:15 a.m. According to police, the driver of pickup truck was speeding southbound on Las Vegas Boulevard and rear-ended a moped stopped at a red light. Both people on the moped were thrown more than 100 feet. One person died at the scene and the other died at University Medical Center. A third car was also hit by the vehicles.

A motorcycle rider was in critical condition after crashing while racing another motorcycle near the Las Vegas Strip Monday morning. The two motorcycles were racing on Tropicana Avenue just before 3 a.m. when one of them hit a vehicle near Paradise Road, Las Vegas police lieutenant Bruce Miyama said. The rider was thrown from the bike and was in critical condition, though his injuries were not life-threatening. The driver of the vehicle hit by the motorcycle had no injuries. The other motorcycle rider left the scene.

A man was transported to the hospital in critical condition after crashing his motorcycle on State Route 159 Sunday night.

Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the scene near Avery Street about 6:45 p.m., according to a NHP trooper.

The man was airlifted to University Medical Center in critical condition, police said, and parts of State Route 159 will be partially closed while NHP investigates.

A car crash early Wednesday morning closed an intersection in the southeast part of the Las Vegas Valley.

Las Vegas police responded to an accident at Eastern Avenue and Wigwam Parkway just before 3:30 a.m.

Two cars were involved, and the only people in the vehicles were the drivers. Police said a 2013 Mazda 3, driven by Jennifer Hemphill, veered out of its lane and hit a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Kiron Williams. The drivers, both 27, were taken to Sunrise hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A two-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning sent two people to the hospital with critical injuries.

The collision on the westbound Harmon Avenue overpass at Interstate 15, occurred just before 3 a.m. when the driver of a 2003 Toyota Camry tried to move from the center to left lane and struck the right side of a 2003 BMW 760Li, according to Las Vegas police.

All lanes of northbound Interstate 15 reopened about 8:45 a.m. Monday after three hours of delays near the Charleston Boulevard exit.

Nevada Highway Patrol responded to two separate crashes involving motorcycles on I-15 near Charleston about 5:45 a.m., said a state trooper, which resulted in lane closures for northbound I-15.

One person sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to University Medical Center, Elliott said.

By 8:45 a.m., all lanes were reopened.

A total of 26 people were injured after a driver crashed her pickup into a grocery store.

Metro police say the driver, an elderly female, somehow lost control of her vehicle in the parking lot of Food 4 Less at Eastern and Sahara avenues. The vehicle, which was carrying a camper, crashed into the front of the store. It finally came to a rest all the way in the back near the frozen food aisles.

The 14-year-old who died after colliding with a car on his dirt bike Thursday has been identified.

Christian Hipsky-Stringer was riding on State Route 165 when he collided with a car at the Nelson’s Landing turn off.

Nevada Highway Patrol responded just before 2:30 p.m. The Colorado resident was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Clark County coroner’s office has not yet released Hipsky-Stringer’s official cause of death.

The woman who died after her car crashed into a chain-link fence Monday night died of natural causes, according to the Clark County coroner’s office. Aleta M. Doran, 68, was driving slowly in a parking lot at 2875 Nellis Boulevard when she had a medical episode and ran her car into a fence just after 9:30 p.m. Doran was transported to Desert Springs Hospital and pronounced dead. The coroner’s office said the Las Vegas resident died from athroscleroic cardiovascular disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
