A semi-truck carrying 25,000 pounds of ice cream was traveling east on U.S. 89 when the driver lost control on a curve and the truck crashed into the Logan River. Some of the ice cream was lost in the river, and crews formed a line to hand cases of ice cream off the truck and back onto the road. No injuries were reported.

A man was riding a motorcycle through Logan Canyon when he failed to make a left-hand curve and crashed into the canyon, his motorcycle ending up in the Logan River. The two people he was riding with turned around after the crash happened and pulled him out of the water. THey performed CPR on him until paramedic arrived. Despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
