Honolulu, HIA 36-year-old man was riding a moped on Olinda Road in Makawao when he was struck by a pickup truck and sustained life-threatening injuries. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The pickup driver was not injured. On December 18, 2014, the victim, identified as Alika Kapuaala, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Honolulu, HIPolice say a Nissan car heading south on Baldwin Ave. crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist died at the hospital.
He’s been identified as 55-year-old man from Makawao.
As for the driver of the car, he’s been identified as a 69-year-old man also from Makawao, and he was treated for minor injuries.
Investigators are still trying to figure out what led to the crash.
