A rural Mansfield man was pronounced dead at the scene of a helicopter crash that occurred Tuesday morning north of Mansfield. Paul Reynolds was piloting the crop-dusting helicopter in the vicinity of Piatt County Highway 2 and County Road 1300 E when it crashed, said the Piatt County Sheriff's Office. The Bell 47G-5 aircraft hit power lines, then crashed in a field, added Elizabeth Cory, spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration that is conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash in conjunction with the National Transportation Safety Board.
