Greenville County Coroner Parks Evans says a Pelzer woman died in a fiery crash Tuesday night.

The crash happened at 6 p.m. on Old Pelzer Road in Piedmont, according to Evans.

The coroner said 22 year old Hayley Gunter was a passenger in a car that lost control, left the road, and overturned in a field. The car then caught on fire.

Evans said Gunter was not wearing a seat belt, and was thrown from the car. She was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

An autopsy is planned for Wednesday.

An 18-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Old Pelzer Road Tuesday morning, officials said.

The driver was headed east on Old Pelzer Road in a 2006 Honda. The driver went off the right side of the road, overcorrected and went off the left side of the road, before hitting a tree and overturning, he said.

The accident happened around 9:30 a.m. near the McMahan Road intersection.

A man died in a wreck on Old Pelzer Road at McMahan Road Tuesday morning, according to the Greenville County. The wreck happened about 9:30 a.m., according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol website. Troopers say the male driver went off the right side of road, over-corrected, went off the left side of the road, hit a tree and overturned. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of his family.
