Memphis, TNThe driver of a passenger vehicle crossed over into the westbound lanes of Charlotte Avenue near Jo Johnston Avenue and crashed head-on into an MTA bus. Witnesses say that the driver did not appear to hit the brakes at all before colliding with the bus. The driver, believed to be a man in his 30s, was brought to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The five bus passengers and driver were not seriously injured. We'll update this story as more details emerge.

Memphis, TNA 36-year-old woman died early Saturday following a head-on collision between two vehicles at Millbranch and Oakwood in Whitehaven.
Memphis police said the wreck occurred about 2:45 a.m. Saturday in the continuing turn lane of Millbranch and involved a vehicle headed north and another headed south.
Jermeika Mattox, driving south, was transported to Regional Medical Center at Memphis in extremely critical condition. She later was pronounced dead.
