It was in the evening when a Honda Accord driven by Francine V. Thomas with her 5-year-old daughter as a passenger rear-ended a semi-truck on Highway 99 late Wednesday night. While the collision was fatal for the woman, the girl survived but sustained serious internal injuries and a broken arm.
