Portland, ORAn 18-year-old woman was killed and a 7-year-old boy critically injured in a head-on collision near Oregon City Friday evening. A Saturn coupe crashed with a Hummer H3 on South Redland Road at 6 p.m. The investigation showed the Saturn swerved into the oncoming lane. It's driver, Madison Kealoha West, 18, was transported to a local hospital where she died. A 7-year-old boy who was a passenger in the Hummer was transported by LifeFlight helicopter to a hospital where he is in critical condition.

Portland, ORThe pickup truck driver was actually outside of his truck at the time of collision, but sustained the worst injuries and had to be airlifted to Oregon Health and Science University. He later died from his injuries. Utley and his passenger sustained only minor or non-life threatening injuries.

Portland, ORAn Oregon City man was cited for DUI New Year’s morning after he crashed into a tree and hid in a rest stop bathroom with serious injuries, police said.
At 7:18 a.m., police got several reports of a suspicious person who was injured at the French Prairie Rest Area near milepost 282, said the Oregon State Police.
A responding state trooper then found 22-year-old Chael Jakob Lynch inside the rest area bathroom and called paramedics. They took Lynch to Oregon Health & Science University with serious injuries that were not life threatening, Hastings said.
